Olivia opened the doors for the first time at Aker Brygge in Oslo in 2006 with an ambition to offer the best flavours from Italy. The menu that is the core of all Olivia restaurants is stone oven baked, thin, crispy pizza, classic pasta dishes and antipasti. We provide the best Italian produced commodities and wine from smaller, family-run producers in Italy.

All Olivia restaurants are unique and inspired by our Italian favorite cities, and in our restaurants – you will feel at home and still be able to dream away to Italy. We have restaurants in all major cities across Norway, as well as in Gothenburg Sweden, and in Helsinki. In spring 2022, Olivia opened its first two restaurants in Finland: one in the magnificent historic ticket hall of Helsinki Central Station and another in the heart of the vibrant Kluuvi district.

We are looking for a Sous Chef!

You know what antipasto is, what is the secret to crispy pizza and how to make perfect tiramisu. You are genuinely interested in food and drink, and passionate about Italian food culture. You are fast and efficient, and you can work under pressure. You are systematic and positive, and you have a good attitude. You are a good team player. You are flexible and ready to work even in the evenings and on weekends.

We are looking for a hard-working leader with a friendly, positive personality who can develop the kitchen team and maintain good atmosphere! We want a motivated, ambitious, structured, and detail-oriented leader, who is also a distinguished relationship builder.

The position implies a great responsibility for the whole kitchen team, so it is important that you enjoy, and get motivated by seeing others evolve and that you enjoy team building. The sous chefs is responsible for the daily operation of the kitchen and should together with the Head Chef ensure that the is food according to our high-quality standards.

Required qualifications:

  • Experience in the professional kitchen
  • Ability and interest in, to lead and motivate people
  • Great communication skills, written and verbal
  • Solution-minded and good to deal with problems and unexpected busy periods
  • Ability to plan long-term to avoid crisis situations
  • A positive «Can-do attitude»
  • A good team player
  • High personal integrity – a role model for other employees on and off the job
  • Hygiene passport completed
  • Good knowledge of English, Finnish language is an asset
