14. June - 9. August
We have a lot to learn from Italians when it comes to food culture, and aperitivo is definitely one of those things. The hours after work and before dinner, the Italians use to create magical moments with loved ones; you gather for a good drink, conversations and something to snack on to work up an appetite before the most important meal of the day.
During June, July and August we invite you to an aperitivo at Olivia Kluuvi and Olivia Central Station, every Wednesday from 2pm to 6pm. We’ll be serving a little snack with the drink you order and are happy to recommend an antipasto plate or other side dish.
Here’s a story about some of our aperitivo-cocktails and -mocktails:
A classic, and perhaps the most famous outside of Italy. Bartender Raimondo Ricci launched his famous Aperol in 1919, but there are stories further back in time of an equally delicious drink that made it easier to endure the Italian summer humidity and heat. The drink is often described as a sunset in a glass. Good balance between bitter and sweet. Prosecco, Aperol, soda water and orange.
What Aperol Spritz is to us Swedes, Hugo Spritz is to Italians. A newer addition to the aperitivo family, first created in 2005 by bar maestro Roland Gruber in Naturns, Tirol. Prosecco, elderberry syrup, liqueur, lemon and mint.
Negroni is a classic cocktail that is typically made with equal parts of gin, Campari, and sweet vermouth. It is known for its bittersweet flavor profile and vibrant red color. The combination of these three ingredients creates a balanced and refreshing drink with a slightly bitter taste. It is usually served on the rocks and garnished with an orange peel.
This is one of our most popular cocktail and it’s also available as alcohol-free mocktail! It’s fresh and definitely tastes like summer. Bella Olivia is made with vodka, cranberry juice, passionfruit and lime.
Come and kick start the Wednesday afterwork in true Italian spirit with us. Cin cin!
Psst. We continue aperitivos after summer as well! We’ll inform you about the new special aperitivos soon so stay tuned!
