Since ancient Roman times, Prosciutto di Parma has been prepared and aged using traditional methods without preservatives or additives in the Parma region of northern Italy. Only four ingredients are needed to make Prosciutto di Parma: Italian pork, salt, air, and time. The most important of these in terms of good taste and quality is time. The unique climate of the Parma region and a maturation period lasting at least 12 months give Prosciutto di Parma its delicious, soft taste.
